Think you’ve got what it takes to conquer The Sheriff? Entries are open for the toughest, longest and most challenging cycle ride in the East Midlands.
The Sheriff is an arduous 125 mile route around Nottinghamshire that includes two category 5 and two category 4 climbs. It is certainly not for the faint hearted!
Starting at 6.30am at the Victoria Embankment, the route tours some of Nottinghamshire’s stunning landscapes before returning to the Embankment for an afternoon of festival fun.
This year’s event proved so popular that for 2017, places have been increased by 150%, and places are selling out fast.
Nik Emmonds, Event Director at Cycle Live Nottingham, said;
“There was a fantastic atmosphere as The Sheriff set off this year despite the early hour, and we wanted to make it even bigger.
“The ride sold out incredibly quickly last year, so make sure to sign up early to avoid disappointment – see you at the start line!”
Participants must be capable of completing the distance within the allocated time of 10 hours, and must be over 18 years of age. The Sheriff entries are open but limited to 250 places.
